Now that we are in the spring term, it is time that every Grade 10 student makes an appointment with their University Counsellor to review and confirm their Course Selections for Grade 11. It is required that you have this meeting, but please come in as many times as you need as you consider your plans for next year. If you have changes to make, you will need to make an appointment to discuss them with your University Counsellor.
The list below includes Grade 10s who have not yet had their meeting to confirm their Course Selections. Please book an appointment soon!
The rate at which this list is shrinking is slow! WE NEED TO PICK UP THE PACE TO GET THROUGH ALL OF THESE APPOINTMENTS!
In this list there remains a handful of Grade 10s who have inexplicably not completed their Course Selections (their names include a "*" and are bolded). YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR COURSE SELECTION FORM IMMEDIATELY!!

Again, you need to see your University Counsellor to review and confirm your plans and course choices.
If you want to make any changes to your selections, you can do so with the University Counsellor that you meet with.
You can return to the Course Selection website for course information. You can also access PDF slides of the presentation offered to the Grade 10 class, you may find them in the Presentations section of Student Resources on this website.
Whether you were able to write the PSAT 10 recently or not, there is nothing stopping you from getting on with continuing to include SAT practice into your routine.
In the fall, we will run the usual PSAT for you in Grade 11, so you can plan on that. In the meantime, the summer between Grades 10 and 11 is the perfect time to begin your individual, independent practice with the SAT. The best way to progress through your standardized testing over time is to engage is regular, sustained, long term practice. Make it part of your routine: 30 minutes, 2-3 times per week, sustained over the long term, will yield the best results for anyone engaged in standardized testing.
Whether you get hold of a SAT prep book or access online resources (Khan Academy partners with the CollegeBoard to offer free, online SAT practice), getting in the habit of practice is in your best interest.
Planning for your post-secondary life after Brentwood can be a confusing and intimidating process... that's why University Counselling is here to be with you every step of the way! For the process to go well, however, you and your parents have to be informed consumers! That means keeping up with information (here on this website), but also anticipating what's to come. How do you do that?
Take some time to review the Timelines section of this website. It will give you and your parents a broad view of what's involved at various stages through the process, now and into the future! Certainly, it will answer questions you have about the critical times that demand action from you!
