Clc coursework

The work you should be on top of is laid out on your Google Classroom. Please ensure that you are pushing to get that completed in the coming weeks and before Spring Break. The coursework needs to be complete before you get on with your Capstone Projects! You will be assessed on this work and your mark in CLC will depend on it.

CLC blocks will be running until you hear otherwise!

graduation requirement: 30 hours of work experience

One graduation requirement that often gets overlooked by students is that they need to accumulate 30 hours of work experience--volunteer, paid, or interning hours--during the period from Grade 10 to 12. THESE HOURS THEN NEED TO BE LOGGED INTO x2VOL TO BE VERIFIED.

The job of chasing Grade 12s on this issue is exhausting, so we are pulling out the stops to make folks aware. The following Grade 12s have still NOT logged their required 30 hours (as of Thursday when the reminder emails went out... so if you acted in response, thank you!):

uiniversity correspondence

PLEASE READ THE CORRESPONDENCE THAT THEY SEND YOU, AND ACT WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO!

It is clear that many of you are not carefully reading the emails you are receiving. This is how universities work... they function on email.

Admission Decisions

Whether it's good or bad news, PLEASE let us know when you receive admission information from your university choices. WE REALLY WANT TO KNOW THE OUTCOME OF YOUR APPLICATIONS!!!

We require this information from you:

Time to Report marks?

Reporting/Self-Reporting of Marks

If you have applied to some Canadian universities, you may be getting instructions about next steps, including the Self-Reporting of marks. With your Fall term marks available, we can proceed with these universities:

You are NOT to complete the process of Self-Reporting on your own. Make an appointment with one of the University Counsellors for assistance.

If you are wondering about how different Canadian universities get your marks data, this document will help...

Canadian University Interim Marks/Transcript Requirements

Marks from Ministry Transcripts

For those schools that take their data from the Ministry, ensure that you check your application status page to see that it has been received. We can double-check to see that the transcript has been ordered (and in some cases, it is a good idea to order it a second time).

HOUSING: Canadian universities

While most universities will guarantee housing to you if you receive an offer, there are some schools which require further action to confirm your interest in campus housing and others where a separate application for residence is required. These schools include: Alberta, UBC, Calgary, Lethbridge, Simon Fraser, Toronto, Victoria. In some cases, the applications for housing are open now (Alberta, UBC) and in others the application will open later in the term.

If you have questions regarding university residence, please see one of the university counsellors.

UC Logins Form

While you are always advised to protect your login credentials for websites on which you establish accounts, it is vital that you share those credentials with University Counselling so that we can fully support your applications. We do promise absolute discretion in protecting your credentials... you can put your trust is us!
